From there she had a shoot with Jarmo Pohjaniemi in Miami, and another with Stephen Wayda in Los Angeles – and on the basis of those recommendations, Hef approved her for the Centerfold. “I found the April 1969 issue – the one with Vanessa Redgrave - and I just knew.” She tried out for Playboy at a casting call in Dallas, and two months later, she was called back for Special Editions. A third-year nursing student at a local college, Rainy had wanted to be a Playmate since she was a kid. Hailing from rural Abilene, West Texas, Rainy can ride a horse as well as she can ride a tractor – and as a Playmate, she’s in for her wildest ride yet. She’s tall – 5’9” – and all natural, with brown hair and a down-home Southern accent.
